Private Antenatal Care

Pregnancy is a special time for both parents, but for mothers especially, with such an intimate connection with your growing baby. I am committed to providing a holistic, individualised approach to your antenatal care from the beginning of your pregnancy until after delivery of your baby. [I pride myself in being a compassionate doctor and will accompany you throughout your journey to meet your little baby safely.]

Pregnancy care

All patients will have their first consultation and scan between 11 to 14 weeks at the Gate Lodge Private Clinic to confirm your dates. The next appointment will then be arranged in the hospital between 20 to 22 weeks for an anatomy scan and blood tests. Your following visits will then be arranged for every 4 weeks until about 32 weeks, every 2 weeks until about 38 weeks and weekly thereafter. Visits may need to be arranged more frequently in specific situations. A scan will be provided at each antenatal visit to monitor your baby’s progress.

Post delivery care

A postnatal appointment approximately 6 weeks after delivery will be arranged to ensure that you have made good recovery. At this visit, we can also discuss about family planning and cervical screening.
